1. Prepare your sections.

Create clean, even sections based on your desired highlighting pattern. Charcolite™ Paper Foils work with all lighteners and all techniques.

2. Place the foil using the Grip System.

Position the sheet under the sectioned hair. The built-in Grip System holds the hair in place—no slipping, no shifting.

3. Apply lightener as usual.

Spread the product evenly from roots to ends. The Air Flow Technology supports consistent saturation for cleaner blends.

4. Fold or stack as desired.

Fold the foil like traditional sheets or stack multiple sheets for balayage, babylights, teasylights, or custom techniques. The flexible, metal-free design adapts to your workflow.

5. Process with control.

Allow the hair to process normally. The metal-free technology prevents harsh reactions and reduces unnecessary heat, helping you achieve a healthier, more predictable lift.

6. Check for lift.

Unfold or slide out the paper foil to check progress. They’re easy to open without disturbing the blend.

7. Rinse and remove.

Once the desired lift is achieved, remove the foils and rinse thoroughly.

8. Clean and reuse (optional).

If reusing, rinse, gently clean, and let the paper foils air-dry completely before the next use.
